    great finish
The pass for the first goal and the first touch of the goalscorer were just fantastic.

Don't think I've ever seen so much harassment of a ref in my lifetime especially from River Plate players, shocking really, the fef handled it well though

For anyone with a spare hour looking for an insight into the superclassico and just why it is such I would recommend watching this documentory.

It's a genuinely fascinating insight into the rivalry and a culture that transcends football. There is nothing on earth that compares to this.

It's fast paced and is full of subtitles but i was transfixed by it, watch it on a telly as opposed to a tablet or phone to get a better appreciation of it and you can follow it better.

I totally love the passion and colour of South American football and would love it if Easter Road was more like the stadiums in Argentina for noise colour and atmosphere. But that rivalry is absolutely toxic, its not a love of the game or even a love of their clubs … its gone beyond that and its pathetic and just bloody sad.

I totally agree with that assessment and I think the documentary maker comes to the same conclusion with the tears of the taxi driver at the end summing up the whole thing.

As an aside there are loads of videos on YouTube of friends and even families where the support is mixed watching the final. Although they are screaming in Argentine Spanish, some are a really good watch as all the videos end with the two sets of supporters coming together and being magnanimous in victory/defeat.
The sight of a Baca crazy dad hugging his River supporting daughter at full time is magic and shows you that not everything you see is as hateful as you might imagine.
