Is the game on the box tonight? Can’t see it listed anywhere.

BT Sports 2 and FreeSports are both showing it from 8pm. Same channels as last night.

They're meeting on Tuesday to discuss. It's being claimed it will be the 8th December which is 10 days before the world club cup semis which the winner will play in

Is it possible the tension could be ratcheted up even more?
Its beyond belief, even for this fixture.

I dont think Amiens v Marseille is going to be quite the same on BT1

They tried to get inside the stadium to attack the players once the bus had got inside the stadium. Terrible policing over there.

Is it terrible policing or utter knuckledraggers acting like cavemen over a game of football.

    Probably a bit of both.

Pirlo talks about it in his book (of course in Italy) and basically asks "when will it end? With the serious injury to a player?"

Thankfully no one was beaten to a pulp like poor Lee Wallace was.

Does anyone know what kind of wages these clubs pay, I wouldn't think someone like Tevez comes cheap even at this stage of his career.

Boca is his team, in his 3rd spell there, which probably helps. I think they'll pay pretty good money but not enough to stop any big European club taking whoever they want.

I’ve no idea but I’d guess slightly more than Celtic?

    Thanks for that

Just a thought for a stress test on their 'new' stand.

Wee Budgie could offer the PBS as a neutral venue for the postponed match.

Now that is something I would enjoy watching.

The game is now going to be played outside of Argentina next week. It doesn’t say if fans will be allowed.

    United we stand here....

Ideal scenario to test their 'new' facility.

Probably across the river in Montevideo I would imagine …. or in Mexico city to keep Argentinian fans to a minimum

Whatever the case, from the first leg it looked to me like River are the better of the two teams and with home advantage in the second leg my money would have been on them to win the cup … if they go on to lose the second leg the River fans will forever have to blame themselves for losing their team the massive advantage playing in their own stadium with 60,000 fans behind them would have been.

I would love it if that happened, perhaps it would be just the kick up the arse Argentina's hooligan element needed. I would imagine that the majority of fans in Argentina hate the power and influence the hooligan gangs have in their football …. the cost of that is now that the biggest game in the country's history wont even come to a conclusion in Argentina and their name has been tarnished all over the world, with a showpiece which could have been a huge selling point for their game being absolutely ruined.

    Nice going morons

Announcement today says its to be played Sat 8th or Sun 9th of December somewhere outside of Argentina.

Boca are asking for River Plate to be disqualified though and for Boca to be subsequently awarded the tournament. Might seem harsh but Boca were disqualified in 2015 when the sides met in the semis after the River players were attacked with pepper spray. Boca want revenge for River Plate going straight to Conmebol's offices after that game and demanding they disqualify Boca, which they duly did.

Conmebol have rejected that plea but Boca are appealing it to Conmebol's Disciplinary Court. Don't think this is finished yet.

I'd be really surprised if they played it in Uruguay. From Buenos Aires it's only a short ferry over the water to Uruguay and the ferries would be full of Boca and River fans travelling to support their team, even if they say it'll be behind closed doors. Recipe for utter carnage that.

If it's to be played, it'll be played somewhere far enough away that thousands of fans can't afford to travel.

As far as the bit in bold is concerned the recent form in this game is strange. River have done really well at the Bombonera recently but Boca are unbeaten in their last 4 games at the Monumental, winning 3 of those 4. I wouldn't be putting money on it either way.

Indeed …. I was only thinking of geography to be honest. I would imagine the good folk of Montevideo would welcome that game the way Manchester city council would welcome another visit from the Currant Buns

Italy or Brazil seem to be the options.
