Did he not tear his hammy? Quite why he was ever forecast to be out for 6 months or whatever it was with a torn hammy I’ve no idea. Doesn’t take anything like that to recover.

Ripped it off the bone. He’ll be half the player he was when he comes back - always thinking twice before stretching and at least a yard of pace gone.

I agree, but Levein will put him on the park to face us at the first opportunity - anything to give Hearts a psychological edge.

    This.

Berra was never that quick anyway, but I would imagine he’ll be carthorse like on his return.

He was important to them, but don’tthink he’ll be their mane defender on his return.

Heard from a fitness guy who uses riccarton that Potter was warned that there was issues with a few players, berra one of them, who were being played when not fit and that it could lead to longer injuries. He wasn't in the least surprised at their spate of injuries and thought they had learned their lesson. Clearly they have not and with naismith and berra no youngsters then they could be liable to break down again.

I think you'll find most teams ask players to play on carrying injuries to get to an International break to rest, but only the second game of the league when he was injured, makes you question the training regime???

If Berra’s car was riddled with bullets, blown up and driven into the river, his floating charred corpse fished out, his throat cut, then him hung drawn quartered and then buried after a DNA test confirmed the remains were his...and Levein said he’d be out for three months, I’d fully expect him to play in the next derby.

I'm not surprised that Berra is back already as he only tore a hamstring. That doesn't affect his game which comprises yelling at the referee and elbowing opponents.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

Given how much he is influenced by his mentor though, I could still see an icky tummy keeping him out of a title decider.

Not sure he will actually get a game for them now tbh...his replacements haven't done too badly in his absence...

I agree. The boy Dunn from Burnley looks like a decent centre half

That's a bit daft, is it not? He's probably the first name on their teamsheet when fit.

Sorry, bad choice of word from me.

I agree that Dunne looks good but I just can't see them leaving out Berra.

If there's a man whose creativity extends to but goes no further than coming up with formations that can accommodate a few centre-halves.......

I said it straight away on here when he went down injured against Celtic that he will make a miraculous recovery much more sooner than later. Not surprised at all with this as no danger he was going to be out for 6 months. They always do this. Player out for X amount of months and all of a sudden is back training again. Souttar & Ikpeazu will be back soon for them as well.
