Der Klassiker - Dortmund vs Bayern

    Kicks off today at 5.30pm

Dortmund could go 7 points clear with a win today and looks like they are building their next great squad. Jadon Sancho in particular looks a brilliant young talent. Can’t believe Man City let him go!

Bayern have been very inconsistent this year and the pressure is building on Kovac. A defeat today could potentially see him get the sack.

I would imagine the whole of Germany ( well apart from Gelsenkirchen ) will be happy to see somebody finally stand up to Bayern, even if it is one of the usual suspects.

I fair miss the Bundesliga highlights since channel 4 lost them …. how are Werder Bremen getting on?

Werder are doing quite well, they were 6th or 7th last time I looked. Dortmund will be 7 points ahead of Bayern if they win today, big game in Germany normally but even more so in the context of the current league standings.

Boca v River Plate in the first leg of the Libertadores kicking off at 8 tonight (BT2 and Freesport)

Nice bottle of wine in, a near perfect night for a football anorak like me.

Bugger, I would love to watch that, but it clashes with strictly …. if I suggested to my better half watching strictly on catch up so I could watch Boca v River my life wouldn't be worth tuppence … show this post to the police if I go missing from here for any longer than two days

Fortuna are in 17th place, with only 5 points on the board. There's a guy on fortuna.net having an absolute meltdown right now.

Funnily enough, his username is Einsiedlerkrebs

This has been an absolute brilliant game! Sancho is unreal. Real special talent. Him and Mbappe are probably the two best teenage talents in Europe.

    Wasn’t Sancho at Man City?

    Yes he was

Cannot believe how they let him leave on a free. He’s absolutely unreal! As mentioned earlier him and Mbappe are the two best teenagers in football right now.

Bayern now in third and seven points behind Dortmund.

I believe they've declared a state of emergency in Munich.

Think he forced a move away
Young players like him have to play at the highest level they can. Top players ready for 1st team action, need 1st team football

Think there’s a few at Man City just now, in a similar situation to him
These big clubs just hoover up the best young talent

Personally I think he is better than both Mahrez and Sterling who play in the same position.

He’s only 18 years old and just imagine what he would be like if he was working under Pep.

I’m a big fan of David Alaba & Mats Hummels but the pair of them in that 2nd half were getting ripped apart by a teenager.

I think they tried to keep him, but he rejected the new contract because he wanted to play more. Good on him, and glad its working out for him.

What will be funny is watching the big english sides fall over each orher to pay 50 or 60 million for him in a year or two, when he was under their nose for free.
