    Graham Fyfe?

Iain Munro going the other way.

A product of Hutchesons' Grammar School for Boys' and a 1st class honours graduate in Natural Philosophy (that's Physics to mere mortals).
Unfortunately for Ally, all his brains were in his head, he was fairly awful on the pitch and looked every inch of a raised rugby player transferring to football.

Not many Hibs strikers have scored off their knee in a 9 goal win.

To think we were meant to believe him and fyfe were a fair exchange for Ian Munro.

I still want a full refund.

We never wanted him in the box if the ball arrived?

    Lurch!
Ally Scott played 54 games scored 10
Graham Fyfe played 18 scored 1
Ally Scott was my brothers all time favourite HIBS player
At the end of the day we swapped a class act in Iain Munro for two duds
I reckon the old Rangers are due us a new tannoy system as well and then we can call it quits 😁

Strangely Munro only played 5 games for Rangers before heading to St Mirren where he started his career before going to Hibs.

It makes you wonder if he married into the wrong faith or he must have upset someone as he was indeed a very good player.
He returned to HIBS for the last two years of his career playing thirty games

Another Hibs/Rangers player of around that time who I tend to get mixed up with the Ally Scott/Iain Munro swap was Johnny Hamilton. What are folks' memories of him? Did we sell him to Rangers or release him?

A very good midfielder very intelligent cultured left foot signed by Bob Shankly from Cumbernauld United and sold to Rangers for a nominal fee.
Hammy found it hard to break into the HIBS team for a decent run and is best remembered as a sub for TTs. He played 96 games(18goals) in total and always performed very well. I remember after he joined Rangers he put in a lot of good performances for them and was a good one touch player.
My abiding memory is that he used to sweat a lot and I remember one game against Patrick Thistle he came over to take a corner NE corner downhill end looked at me and smiled as he grabbed the ball and said “I’m ****ing knackered!”
    RIP Hammy

This piece seems to confirm that he maybe wasn't the most dedicated when it came to training:

Iain Munro's nephews like me attended Oban High School so I remember that transfer well. Left St.Mirren for the second time and played for Stoke and Sunderland in England and eventually ended up back at Hibs via Dundee Utd. Pretty good career in my book.
