Thread: McGregor yellow

    McGregor yellow

Is there any footage of McGregors yellow card today. It may have been a foul but a yellow was incredibly harsh but wouldn't mind seeing it again to conform. It was only after about 12 mins and there seemed nothing in it

I thought he got the ball and the foul was even harsh. Astounded to see a yellow.

It looked like a great tackle to me at the time. The yellow seemed very harsh.

Shocking decision. They got so many soft fouls today it was embarrassing

I thought so too. But you have to remember he’d already booked Brown so first Hibs tacke was a yellow all day.

It wasn't a booking, the ref was just evening things up. There was worse challenges throughout the game, even from Daz. ***** officiating as usual.

Thought he won the ball clean,it'll be interesting to see it again on Sportscene, Mallan was lucky not to get an early yellow for catching Ntcham late but McGregor's was harsh IMO

I thought it was harsh but then saw the replay.
Think it was as a result of not having played for a long time. Not easy being pushed into that match.
He made a number of other fouls in the first half and i was more than a little worried he was going to get sent off.

Just saw on the stats that Hibs only got 2 freekicks the entire game, compared to Celtic’s 18. Doesn’t surprise me the ref was also dishing out soft yellows for Hibs.

Radio commentators said he got the ball and wasn't a foul in the slightest, bit harsh.

that's how I saw it, tit for tat, to me it was very harsh if not completely wrong, I thought he got the ball first and from the side not back.

I was going to start a thread 're this. We got the early free kick for the Scott Brown booking then had another Malian free kick soon after. That means Celtc didn't concede a free kick for about the last 70 minutes! Thats unbelievable in a professional game. Mind you Robertson waved play on as a supposed advantage when Milligan was caught, staggered & eventually lost posession about 10 yards outside our box! Meanwhile every time a Celtc player hit the ground it was an immediate free kick.

    Can yellows be appealed?
