Thought Lennon said maclaren would be back after the international break? Or did I miss something?

He should be available for selection, but no guarantee he will be picked to start after it being a few weeks since he has played.

    I'd throw him in though.

    If we can, same again.

I wouldn’t want to play Boyle as wing back. He will terrorise boyata this time with his movement across their defence. In fact I’d be tempted to tell him to stick to the Celtic right side as Lustig looks terrible this year.

Lennon is a tactical genius, be interesting to see whether we have a go from the start or go for a cagey affair and counter attack.

Either way Lennon has a real tough selection when the boys are all fit.

Hyndman drops out unfortunately and Boyler up top for his pace
That'll do for me, although easy-oasy whether Slivka/Hyndman. Either way, the starter runs his socks off with other subbed on for final 30mins. Double sub with Thomas coming on for Boyle. Jamie Mac likely to get some game time too?

Not really bothered what formation or who goes out against Celtic except we need someone to stick Brown in their back pocket and dominate him.

One last thing we need a strong ref too as getting important decisions at Parkhead and Ibrox is crucial.

Bumped this old thread. Sounds like we've a few injuries, with Hanlon and Boyle doubts. Any chance of the new guys playing?

Edit: see Gray is out too

No idea what team we’ll see.

Lennon did say he expected most of them to be available which is encouraging. Reckon Harry might be thrown in right away.

Doubt it if Boyle and Hanlon are available

I'd be tempted to go with a back 3

    Bogdan

    Boyle Ambrose Porteous Hanlon Stevenson

    Mallan Milligan Slivka

    Shaw Kamberi
Genuinely think Shaw would be like a man down. Pack the midfield and play 1 up front IMO.

Lennon said in his press conference that Hanlon is out.

Was he a man down when he scored in 2 games Vs them last season? Ridiculous comment.

Shaw was pretty rotten for Scotland under 21’s during the week and Lennon was there to watch so i think you may be right.

In Shaws defence, it was a thankless task with Scotland not seeing much of the ball and up against 2 huge defenders however that’s likely to be a similar story today. I’d be surprised if Shaw starts.

Don’t think he’s at his most confident just now, seems to be lacking a spring in his step.

I had a dream last night Boyle was on Stritcly Come Dancing. Maybe that’s why he’s injured.

Griffiths out too for Celtic. Means they’ll probably go one up front, or 433. Wonder if Lennon will want to match it?

He played left of a 3, for Australia earlier in the week
Depending on who’s fit to start, might see Bartley in somewhere

I would only move Milligan if we really, really need to. He’s been so influential in the middle of the park that I wouldn’t want to lose that.

I agree. Can’t really see the new boy playing if Whittaker is fit

Not really, he's been pretty poor in the games he's started so far this season. Think today will be a midfield battle

Really don"t like saying this but I wonder if Shaw has gone as far as he is going to go
At his age I would have hoped for more consistency
    Hope I"m wrong

Think he's a confidence player. He's used to scoring a load of goals in the development leagues, just needs a goal I think. A couple of weeks in the development team scoring goals again will see him OK

    Cool

We have to take the game to them ,push them back, Milligan as given us a fantastic protection in front of our defense that we can use to be more positive.

    BOGDAN

    AMBROSE PORTEOUS MAVRIAS

    MILLIGAN

    BOYLE STEVENSON

    HYNDMAN SLIVKA

    MALLAN

    KAMBERI

I would go along these lines.

I think his confidence took a bit of a hit after the cup game v Aberdeen. He missed a couple of really good chances and it was mentioned by Lennon after the game as well. I think a wee spell out of the limelight might be good for him.
