Was it the game when Hearts gave The Rangers 11,000 tickets for their game at Murrayfield last season?

There can't be an away support at a neutral venue. If he meant support travelling to Edinburgh.

It might be a kind of trick question with team named second deemed as the away team?

Can anyone answer this poser: what was the biggest ever away support to watch a football match in Edinburgh?

No prizes, just for fum. My supposedly football mad friends could not answer it.
Was the match being played in Edinburgh but watched from somewhere else via a beam back?

    Not a trick question.

Both teams were away but one of the teams was hosting the game, if that is any clearer

As I said earlier this game went almost un noticed in Edinburgh despite the size of the " away " support....

No twice. The type of football Hibs play!

This is not a cryptic reply either.

Well it'll be a long time ago. Even if an away team filled the current stadium it would be well below some of the OF or hearts supports of the old days.

I'm assuming there were at least 25,000 hearts fans in our record 65,860 home crowd back in 1950 or whenever and definitely well over 25-30,000 Celtc fans in the 1974 game I mentioned earlier.

Right. So it's maybe the biggest in the all seater era then rather then biggest ever as he said originally. Wish I had noticed this as it would have saved me from wracking my brain

I thought that too until I realised Celtic were the home team, they'd been beaten 4-1 in Warsaw before this game I think?
