Sorry, I don't mean this second as we clearly need him, I mean a good Oli Shaw, but he would greatly benefit from playing and scoring and a lower level IMO to then return a better player.
And who is cover in the meantime?

There is no doubt about it that Shaw has the technique and football brain in his game but I worry that he has the Alec Harris heart and temperament. This season he must get a run of games in the team to toughen up a bit.

Funnily enough I said roughly the same to my mate leaving the Stadium as at the end of the day like every Hibby I want Shaw to be a success but his response was come back to me when he has scored a hatrick against The Rangers a la MacLaren or Sproule.

Ask your mate how many hat tricks Joe Baker, Alan Gordon, Jim O, Garry O & Deeks scored against The Rangers. Better still, get him to post on here, he'll take this board to a new level of insanity!

What on earth gives you the opinion that he’s not tough enough?

Because i have seen every game he has played for the first team.. Did you not see the through ball into the FF end with Shaw and Mckenna?? Only one example I guess but time will tell.

No point you know he knows the answer to that one.

My radge wee mental hibee mate is none other than your namesake Panther!

He does not post on here as his Mrs put a parental control on his computer after she caught him watching “ High Jinx with Chinese Midgets”

I also add further down the thread that this is the sort of mentality Shaw is up against time to prove the doubters wrong

A lot of posters adding that he seems to lack the physicality and may have blown his chance after missing chances or choosing the wrong options in such a high profile match.

I must add in his defence he was not alone
