    Forecasts for Quarter finals

    I predict -

    Hibs to beat Aberdeen,

    Motherwell to beat Hearts (Not just wishful thinking but based on how Hearts struggled last week, Motherwell will be out for revenge and Hearts don't seem to have a plan B. We will then be told it is just a little cup and Hearts are concentrating on their league challenge),

    Sevco to beat Ayr.

    Celtic to squeeze home against St Johnstone, maybe after extra time.

    Anyone else think differently?

    I think St Johnstone could surprise Celtic.

    Tommy Wright is a good manager and his sides tend to bounce back well from bad results I think.

    St Johnstone, Rangers and Motherwell to join hibs in the semis.

    Guaranteed Celtic will draw rangers to avoid the moaning as both play in Europe on the Thursday and the semis won't be moved so if they were kept apart one would have to play the Saturday. Think it will be a hibs hearts semi. Had a feeling about it since the quarter final draw

    When was the last time...

    Not saying this will happen [so I'm not looking to curse anyone here] but just out of interest, when was the last time that either the Scottish Cup or the League Cup had as its semi final line up Hibs Hearts Celtic and Rangers (meaning either oldco or newco)

    I can't actually think when the semi finalists were last the Edinburgh & Glasgow clubs

    Any info appreciated

    Amazingly, it's never actually happened. Plenty times when the semi finalists were Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen and one of us but never all four together. Quite extraordinary.

    Hopefully a more open game as it's a cup match. Games against Aberdeen in the league always seem to be ****fests with McInnes putting about 8 players in defence.

    2-0 Hibs Kamberi and Mallan.

    I hate to say it but ever since the crooks at the SFA/SPFL connspired a fudge so that Hearts could remain in the competition despite their ‘imperfect registration’ of a player I have had a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach that the grunts are going to win it.��
