Right now on form I would imagine Manchester United are in with a shout. Can’t win the league and I think the have the squad to battle for top 4 so reckon they will concentrate on the champions league & don’t think many teams would enjoy going to Old Trafford these days
Don't think many would have seen today's result coming. Amazing result for Man United.

That's Real Madrid, PSG and Dortmund our already.

If you're still in it, you have a chance; but United will need some of their big names back for the quarter-finals.

It's hard to pick a clear favourite at this point. I think all teams who make the last eight will feel they have a chance.

Man City got to be clear favourites now. Hopefully we see some great fixtures in the next round.

    United v City/Schalke
    Bayern/Liverpool v Barca/Lyon
    Atletico/Juve v Ajax
    Spurs v Porto

    Would be fantastic viewing

They aren't as good as they were a few years ago, but of course remain a threat. It's wide open, which is good form the competition.

As long as it's not Barca (boring), Bayern (boring) or Juventus (Ronaldo) then I'll be happy with whoever wins it. Be even better if all three are knocked out before the QFs.

If Juve do win Ronaldo becomes the second player to have won it with three different clubs does he not? With Seedorf being the other.

    Don't think so.

Surely he has only won it with Madrid?

And united. He scored the opener against Chelsea and missed a penalty in the shoot out.

    He will indeed.

Cracking career Seedorf had. Didn't realise he manages Cameroon now.

Well, that's the quarter finals line up confirmed.

Porto, Ajax, Juventus and Barcelona, plus the four teams from England.

It's going to be interesting to see who will go onto win it.

English media going on about "is this the return to English dominance of the tournament".

Surprised to see such a decline in the German and Spanish teams as well.

It will be between the European giants of Liverpool, Barcelona or Juventus. The rest are just making up the numbers. Hopefully Liverpool can avoid either one of those in the next round.

I'm sticking to my preseason prediction, Juve. Especially now PSG are out, Buffon must be ****ting himself.

  21. #80
Think it will end up a last four of:

    Barca
    Juventus
    Liverpool
    City

Strong last four if true, but I could easily be wrong in my predictions

If correct, it'll be Barca v Liverpool and City v Juventus in the semi finals. Imagine, if Man United beat Barca, it could be a Man United v Liverpool semi.

    Barcelona win tonight
    Juventus win tonight
Spurs win on away goals tomorrow
Liverpool to hold on and get through with either a draw or win in Porto

Spurs to beat Juventus by a goal on aggregate in the semi's
Liverpool to beat Barca on penalties in the semi's

Spurs extra time winner in the final

Most interested I have been in the Champions League for a couple of seasons. Liverpool, City, Ajax, and Spurs are very welcome competition. Would like to see Dortmund competing at the very top as well.

Liverpool and Barcelona are certainties. The other ties are still open. I think Juventus will have enough for Ajax and I think Manchester City will beat Tottenham but too close to call.

Ajax. People seem to be ignoring them, they're a really good team once again.

City v Liverpool final would be mental. Liverpool losing the title by a point then lose to City in the final would see so many tears.

The captain of Ajax is 20 YO.
He scored the goal that took them through tonight. 20 years old. That is mental
