    Lost glasses

    Long shot this.

My 83 year old father lost his specs last night. Somewhere between the East entrance where I dropped him off and the West rear.

I'll be contacting Hibs today but if anyone remembers seeing them (or more likely standing on them) or handing them in Pm me.

He thought he'd left them in the car at first, which he hadn't, I had to walk all the way back to the car that I'd just parked miles away!!

Parents eh! As bad as young kids at the match.

Good effort still attending matches at his age. Wish I could still take my dad but sadly will never happen again.

    Hope you get his glasses.

There must be a massive mound of glasses somewhere deep in the bowels of Easter Road.

Thanks MWC, I expect those were his and are now deeply ingrained in the pavement.

A trip to the opticians now required. I'll get him one of those straps that Larry Grayson had.

That made me feel a bit queasy, but I read more into it than you wrote.

Have you tried Spectacles Outlet? They are much cheaper than most opticians.

No, just searched and they are in Musselburgh so that's ideal. He might just want to go to his usual opticians mind you as hes a creature of habit. He wont even try a bit of pizza.

Think the referee lost his last night as well.

Aye, even my dad without his glasses was shaking his head at some of the (non) decisions. Says it all.

Not sure it would work to be honest.

At one of the European games I leapt up when we scored and my sunglasses went flying. I looked around for them and couldn't find them anywhere and was beginning to think someone had knicked them. I waited till the end of the game and let everyone away and scrutinised every row above and below mw.

I eventually found them wedged in between the seat and the frame and hadn't seen them because they're black - same as the seat frame.
