    Mark Milligan

    Fair Dinkum!

There were stories of an approach being made for Mark a few weeks here in Oz, but the money on offer was quoted as being the stumbling block.

This will be his last club before returning home to Oz I would imagine.

There will of course be various differing views on his ability, but one thing that is a first for Hibs is that they have signed a player who has been in four World Cup Finals squads.

    Welcome Mark.

He is a hard working, industrious defensive midfielder.

He has, as stated been to 4 World Cup finals.

I quite like him, but I would have preferred if we had signed him a few years ago.

Yeah his name was mentioned on here by a few and that he laughed at the money on offer here in Scotland. So Hibs must be paying a good wage!

Do you think that rules out Mulumbu, I had heard he was looking for a 5 figure salary per week.

    Hi Fred
Jamie being here would have been a factor too i suppose, for Mark signing.
We know Jamie has relatives in Edinburgh.
If Mark has, i hope it is not our buckfast swilling former Lord Provost !!

    Welcome Mark to Hibernian FC

You know your player is getting on a bit when his Youtube showreel isn't in widescreen.

No idea bud, but seems we don’t have much to spend if Lennons comments are true.

Well if thats the case that really disapoints me big time. Season tickets record levels, McGinn transfer, Murray transfer & Europa league earnings.

Hopefully Lennon is playing the not much money line, so agents aren't trying to demand wages/fees that are over top.

McGinn deal maybe freed up a few extra pounds?

Welcome to the best club in the world Mark.

Surprised when it was a defender announced but definitely a good thing. Some of our defending at times is poor and this will ensure there is competition for places.

Now a couple CM hibs please , Allan (must) + a powerful player please

He’s predominantly a defensive midfielder I believe, but can also fill in at CB

I think he started the 3 games for Australia at the World Cup centre half but can also play centre mid which he has done at previous World Cups.

Can't remember but I felt about 85 after I had spent 90 minutes watching him play.

I miss sitting beside his missus. I'm sure Scoopyboy will be along to verify.
