Crunchie must be a quarter inch taller so the accolade must go to Mickey Weir.

Mickey was sitting in the row in front of me at the Molde game. He's lost his hair now, so must be half an inch shorter than when he was playing.

Chic Charnley wasn't exactly a star for Hibs.
    He’s 6ft as well.
PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years

Pat Quinn, whom I had the pleasure of seeing destroy the Yams @ Tynie, c.1967?
One from the dim and distant past - wee Johnny Grant who had a number of games for us in the early 60’s on the right wing. On a clear day you could just about see him from the top of the old terracing opposite the stand

I was just about to say that. Definitely can’t be classes in the same height bracket as Mickey Weir and Kevin Harper 😂

Been racking ma brains trying to remember his name.

Probably the smallest player i recall playing for us 1963/64
Scored one goal for the club at Brockville in a 4-1 win.
That is the game i had in mind when trying to recall his name, but i was only 12 !!
    He stood out that day.
Head and shoulders above the opposition !

Kevin was behind us on 21/5/16 and I wouldn't have described him as being short-arsed, unless he was standing on his seat. But then maybe the delirium affected my judgement.

Who were the vertically challenged superstars who stood tall in the Green?
Joe and Gerry Baker were both small guys I think. I had the the pleasure of sitting chatting to Gerry one time and he seemed tiny to me. But people shrink a bit when they get old I guess.

Think he was reasonable tall at about 5'11. Might be wrong.

Johnny MacLeod and Pat Quinn were two of the best, but the wee-est surely was Johnny Grant , a diminutive right winger form the sixties...who ended up selling cars in South Africa, after starring out there on the football field..
Thanks for that. He was tiny right enough. I can remember clinging onto the pitch wall and watching him spinning by. He was one of those who'd have been a star maybe ten years later with better management.

First time I remember seeing him was actually from the very top of that terracing, in a New Year's day game against Hearts. All I could see ghosting around was a large white no 7 on a very flappy shirt. Think it finished 1-1.
