Indeed. I am a strong advocate of the original song. Love it. And can’t understand the apathy towards it, especially from those of us who were around and active in 90. I do, however, think the new rendition lacks a bit of class. Love any anti-Mercer song but bringing his widow’s sexual behaviour into it is a bit crass. In saying that, I am joining in the new version as it’s belted out in Molde. He’s deid 👍

Agreed, hate the man, but that song is a ****ing embarrassment. I've never been entirely clear as to how anyone made a connection between Skacel and refugees. He's from the Czech Republic, not Syria. It makes literally no sense.

The same stands for us - those who deplore the skatcel song but sing the mercer song - that’s your own choice - yet for me , they are songs that do no service to our club and our reputation over the years - we should be better than singing songs of hate
