We've managed to get sorted after this nightmare,so will be 3 of us arriving in Athens about 1pm on Wednesday, any buses that have spare seats would be well received.

Not yet, looking at the now.
Seems to be a few people on the same flight out from Luton on wed at 6.10am could possibly try and get something sorted ??

Their reps on the flight had no idea the game had been cancelled until about half way through the flight when they were told by the flight crew who came and spoke to them, obviously after getting a message from air traffic control.

I know that for a fact because I was sitting next to them in the 'bubble' upstairs on the plane when they were told

Thanks for that I always thought all these years we had got shafted but going on what you have said it was just a case of bad luck

So within the 5/10 mins after we had taken off UEFA had decided to cancel all games.

They didn't cancel all games. It was up to individual clubs that week. Plenty games went ahead. Was most annoying!

I thought all European games were cancelled, we went for 5 days at around £300 all in, much cheaper than the official charter?

I remember being a bit pissed off when i found out the Americans didnt cancel anything, all there baseball and Football games went ahead, but Europe had cancelled theirs?

Definitely not all games were cancelled that week mate. Loads went ahead. I was miffed our game in Athens was cancelled though. Lost out on a lot of money.

Looks like a 737-500 plane with 56 seats only probably why only team on it with so little seats available

If you think Ryanair use 737-900 which seats almost 200

The games on Thursday were cancelled but not the games on Wednesday as it was too short notice apparently. 9/11 happened on the Tuesday.

Here myself and players @ officials wandering about. My Dublin flights been delayed which is a pain but it's Ryanair at their best. Was going to ask Neil Lennon if any new players are signing soon but his look say 'leave me alone. Which is fair enough....

The plane number was on one of the emails we got - it was a 737-300. I noticed that it had taken the Huns to Croatia so maybe the real reason was they couldn’t clean it in time.
