Is Tractor Sazi the only club he's ever really wanted to play for?
Good luck Stokesy. Maybe the no booze rules over there will see him get into the best shape of his life and turn his career around.....

Maybe he’s going to convert to Islam and become the teetotal footballer formerly known as Anthony Stokes??

I went on holiday to Iran in 2012 and had an amazing time - a friendlier people you will not meet and if Stokes approaches this with the right attitude it could be the making of him. Tabriz is a nice city and only 2.5 hours from Istanbul if he does fancy letting off some steam: funnily enough though at no point while I was there did I miss having a beer!

Before he goes, somebody better explain to him what a night on the lash means over there.

Fair play and good luck to him.
Wish more of our footballers had a bit of bravery rather than thinking the other end of the M8 is the furthest away from home they’ll go.

That was quick, he was in the Harp & Castle on Sunday past during the world cup final. In saying that he must have had a flight to catch as he only stayed for around 20 minutes.
