Theyve played Fulham , Rosenborg and dinamo Tblisi in recent seasons .. none of them managed to put 6 past them infact fulham only won 3-0 on aggregate .. People on here are mental if they think were going to rock up for our 1st game and win by a cricket score .

You don’t for a second think we will win by 6, I think we may win at home. But a draw away would be a decent result

You’re right, they might sneak one to make it 6-1
Genuine question - did they people who were posting saying that we wouldn’t pump these mugs daft actually believe it or were they just trolling as usual?

How many corners were there tonight?

I had over four goals and over ten corners but it didn’t come in and I thought there were over 10?

However, on what was a good night, I do think Simon Murray just is not near good enough, we need strikers in .....IMO

Agreed. Tries hard but just doesn't have the quality. Shaw not quite ready for a regular start but should do ok off the bench.

    Brilliant. What were prices again?

First European tie against part-timers on a Thursday night. This European adventure could prove fruitful regardless of what round we go out in.
And there were a few on here telling us we’d be lucky to get 10k when the prices were announced. I’m sure it sounded good on the radio though.

Professional performance tonight. Agree with this though, Murray isn’t up to standard IMO.

I have to say, this squeezing into my seat is getting nippy, a few years ago I could spread my fat arse over 2 or 3 seats, tonight there wasn't a free seat in my row
Great night at Easter Road, good performance some good goals. Mallen looks great, Flo has started where he left off, great time to be a Hibee, but I would like the spare seat next to me back, or I could lose a couple of stone

Job done. Should have scored more.

Didn’t learn anything new. A replacement for Dylan and another striker are the priorities for me.

Hibs second equal biggest win in Europe this evening.

    After Malmo 6-0 & Rosenberg 9-1.

Good result but they were very very poor side. Only player that looked not bad was their left winger.

👏🏼👏🏼Well done lads. Great see Flo back, Oli getting in there and Mallan showing his quality. Boyle good and Swanson making a difference 💚
Swanson is more or less a new signing if he comes into some form. Good luck to him!

Best game I've seen from Slivka, definitely looking much better. Again, only against very poor opposition though but here's hoping.

Excellent result meaning the tie is over. Kamberi and Boyle stood out. Good competitive work out but we’ll need 3-4 good players in before the end of the transfer window.

You must be so satisfied haha. I'm with you on this one. Was so confident we'd pump a 4th place Faroes team that I booked Athens along with many others. Hope those that mocked us for being cocky enjoy the rise in flight prices.

    14126 crowd. Excellent effort.
Hibs website says 12,501 - still very good.

Apart from the early goal (which I missed as I was cutting it fine as usual and the game started early for some reason (?)) I thought we took a while to settle down but once we did played some lovely football. I know they aren't exactly a great side but they were fit and physical (overly so in several cases), and technically decent. They're also 15 games into their season while we are still a long way from getting up to speed.

The fact they went down to 10 men had little impact as they just camped in and around their box when we had the ball - we were already 4-0 up (I think) and it was damage limitation time. We're 2 or 3 players short of a squad which has the strength of last season's but hopefully we'll get there before facing the Greeks.

We should've scored more goals but I'm happy with a 6-1 win in our first game back in Europe.

    Darn and drat!

I didn’t think they’d get close by there was a few corners late on.

    Thanks

  28. #297
Good, solid and professional performance. That's how to put away a poor side like that.

Disappointing to lose the goal but we really could have hit double figures tonight and seeing your top striker get a hat trick is always a good sign.

Looking forward to the next round, I'm sure the Greeks will prove to be a far harder nut to crack.

I don't know about that you were half in my seat.
