Its about time the club shop done classic shirts like the 70's white crewe neck and sleeves with coloured cuffs and no badge. Id love one in emerald green and another in bottle green (the current badge would of course be acceptable)

I think crest is genuine and I'm sure was either a blotter stamp used on club correspondence or appeared on a silver plate to commemorate a victory in clubs earliest days. I'm told the obelisk refers to St Patricks burial place in County Armagh which would tie in with the clubs St Patricks church origins. Maybe Brog or some other club historian can confirm if that's correct ?

Surely the club could commission some retro tops. Definitely a demand for them from the older fans.

Apparently the old shamrock badge shown above was a Hibs badge. Been told that information from two old Hibee veterans.

Got a rugby type top bout 7-8 years ago with that badge on it. Was bought for me as a pressie. Still got it and great quality. However I’ve not found any info about the badge, did lots of internet searching and nowt which makes me think it’s a DIY job.

Aztec Retro make really good retro tops. Normally sell out pretty quickly so worth a follow on twitter for new releases.

Badges were only sewn on for big occasions like cup finals in those days. The HFC definitely appeared at the 1972 cup final v. Celtic. I've not seen many other pictures from that era, or earlier when Hibs had a badge on their strip. Very few clubs wore a badge week in week out.
