Despite a small amount of game time with us, a profit has been made on the deal and we will retain an interest in Stevie’s future.”
Quote from the Barnsley chairman. So if correct Barnsley signed him for £250,000. So could be more expensive than the £175,000 quoted

It's been a long time since we had a high quality free kick taker.
I look forward to young Mr Mallan scoring some spectacular goals like he did against us for St Mirren.
I am very delighted with this signing. He has limitations but i am confident he will improve year on year
He is the best quality our club can hope for given the ****ty TV deal which handicaps Scottish teams.
Well done to all at the club for getting this quality deal done especially with Jack Ross hoovering up all the cheap or free players who have been successful in Scotland.
Also thanks to The Cat who made me as sure as possible that this deal would happen.
We still need another striker and probably an athletic and combative midfielder.
I am confident the club will get it done.

Wonder if Lennon is eyeing a midfield of slivka , allan , and mallan? If so will slivka play as a mcginn type with mallan in a deeper role or visa versa??

Slivka playing the McGinn role, Mallan the McGeouch one and Scott Allan playing the Scott Allan role.
Allan and Mallan maybe swap.
Bartley and Whittaker in for when we need the midfield anchor.
Not forgetting Swanson.
Probably need to put our efforts into securing Allan and MacLaren now and 1 or 2 wide players.Last edited by Tug Wilson; 06-07-2018 at 06:01 PM.

Mallan attacking mid, Bartley breaking legs and McGinn backing his big bum into players - flo to score the goals and Boyle to run riot!!!
Ambrose to sit at the back smoking a cigar 😂

Think we’ll play 3 at the back the majority of the time so getting an out and out winger in who may find their game time limited might be difficult.
It is something we need to give us options though.

I like 3-5-2 and it suits our squad.

I don't think Slivka/Allan/Mallan would work. All 3 really classy players but who is giving them the ball from the defence/winning it back?

Maybe work with 3 at the back though?

Fair call. Maybe Allan drops back to a playmaker role.
Maybe we see Mallan as Allan's replacement?
Or could we play both with Bartley the ballwinner behind them.

Rocky
Ambrose McGregor Hanlon
Boyle Slivka Bartley Lewis
Mallan Allan
Kamberi
Something like this would well I feel A lot of other players can still fill in different positions ie. Gray and Whittaker can play in the back 3 and also RWB plus Whittaker can play Cm and LWB.Swanson and Boyle can play behind Kamberi.Slivka can also play further forward.
That's not including the young lads like Portoues F Murray and Oli Shaw.
Obviously some games would require a change in formation and of course injuries and suspensions come into play but with the 11 I put I'd say we need another body for LWB,an other CM and an other striker and we should be good to go.any thoughts?
