Think someone said that there’s a game on in Athens the same night
UEFA have a rule about games being played on the same night, within a certain proximity
Someone posted about this game on one of the many threads
I'd suggest 170km is probably outwith that proximity. Aberdeen is much closer to Perth than that and Aberdeen and St Johnstone managed to play Europa League home games on the same night in 2016.

I’ve just added the game above
Just need Hibs/UEFA to confirm dates

I suspect that hibs and the rangers will both play at home on the same night in the 1st round so shouldn’t be an issue.

Do they have Double Deckers in Greece Might need a few at this rate

Double Deckers are possible with up to 79 Seaters, but with a quote now recieved for what in my book is a very reasonable price i wouldn't go looking into it to be fair.

Updated Quote is stated on First Post

Just in case anyone is jumping in on the last page and hasn't read through, I've included the update OP which includes approximate prices - very reasonable imo

    Hi All,

As suggested by a few people on other threads, due to the difficulty in getting to Tripoli from Athens the hiring of buses has become a possibility (when we get through )

I would just like to gage the interest from the .net audience in this becoming a reality

It would be a case of travelling to Tripoli on matchday at around 11.30am/12.00pm to be in Tripoli for around 14.00pm, straight back to Athens after the game

Bus company called Grand Coaches (London Based Company) in Athens are charging:

    1 x 69 Seater coach with driver = £1450.00 (£21.00pp) (£140 deposit required: £2pp Non Refundable)

    1 x 69 Seater Coach Executive with driver = £1750.00 (£25.36pp) (£140 deposit required: £2pp Non Refundable)

More Buses are a possibility if demand has it (Won't confirm a booking until 20/07/2018)

We currently look to have around 130 people interested in seats, thus meaning at least 3 buses will almost certainly be needed as the number rises

Do you think there would be any scope for a stop at Athens Airport for pickup? Not sure what other Hibbys think but I wouldn't mind getting to Tripoli a bit earlier than 14:00 as well?

Stops can be arranged for pickup at airport but as stated previously nothing is set in stone at the moment this was purely a look at how many people are interested in busses and if it is feasible in running these from Athens and back. More info will be given in due course.

All buses with this coach hire company offer disabled access, so no problems there

You certainly can, looks like some convoy we will have at the moment

I have reserved the Mansion Hotel, Satomvriandou for 4 nights Tue 31st Jul - Sat 4th Aug. 5 mins walk from metro (Omonia) with direct access to Athens Airport.

Also 10mins walk to Acropolis, other sight seeing ventures, restaurants, bars etc. Reserved for £165 (188 Euros) for a twinroom.
