Aye we may as well not bother going, too hot. Better just sitting at home following updates on here.

    You do that then...

There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

Are you trying to guarantee yourself a ticket by discouraging the rest of us from travelling?

With hotels near the stadium all but sold out, im wondering what people are doing as an alternative ?? Also would it not be feasible to try to arrange for coaches for fans to get to and from Athens ??

I’d rather risk £300 now over waiting on the result of our 1st round tie and paying closer to £600

Fortune favours the brave. If I do lose that £300, most of it will be covered from the savings I made by booking Copenhagen early in 2016.

Thats because doughnuts keep searching them without clearing their internet cache or browsing privately.
I don't follow - people searching for flights from Edinburgh to Athens rather give the game away that they are looking for flights from Edinburgh to Athens - no?

And if there are lots of such searches then it rather tips them off to raise their prices - for anonymous or public searchers alike.

You could always have a few quid on Runavik to win, likely be a decent price, as insurance

Just checked and it's quite possible that we will be seeded for the 3rd Qual Round if we beat Asteras. We will get their 9.00 coefficient.

We won’t be, lowest seeded team in Round 3 has a coefficient of 10.

At the moment but there is a possibility that 9 will be enough. Don't ask me how! It says TBD for our match and a few others on Wiki.

Have a look and see if you can determine why cos I'm lost.

There is 26 seeded places. In the list on the wiki article 20 are already determined.

From the TBD section, Copenhagen, Maribor, Tel-Aviv, Partizan, Molde and Limassol all have coefficients higher than Tripolis and therefore the winners of their ties will be seeded taking the total seeds to 26.

The link I provided sets this all out a lot clearer than wiki does.

Yes but that's assuming they all go through. If they were to all be beaten in the first round then it all changes. I see what you're saying though, it's unlikely at best.

Will be interesting to see how many fans we take to the Faroes (and hopefully also to Greece!)

    My guesstimate

    Faroes 100-200

    Greece 500-600

Good point you are correct, it would require 3 of the 6 I mentioned losing their first round tie.

Seen a few people mention a Hellenic Railways train from Athens to Tripoli. As far as I can see this train no longer exists – the Hellenic Railways site (https://tickets.trainose.gr/dromologia/) doesn't have Tripoli as a destination, and Wiki (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tripol...Transportation) says trains on that route stopped in 2010.

The transport options I can see are hiring a car or getting the bus (takes about 3 hours, runs hourly).

    I'll be on the bus.

I would hang off booking anything until we have played the first leg against the Faroes, then we will hopefully have a better idea if we're going through or not.
Mental booking Greece just now. Show a bit respect to the Faroe boys FFS! Scottish clubs, including us, HAVE slipped up in the past against 'minnows'!

Was Gordon Rae not living in Greece for a while - he might still be there? He might have a few contacts who can set up supporters' buses?

Is mental though? £300 now guaranteeing seats on the best flights and rooms in the best hotels or potentially double that if we win our first round tie and taking a chance on decent flights/hotels still being available.

People are booking with free cancellation.

That shows enough respect, should any of the Faroe boys be looking in.
Buy nothing online unless you check for free cashback here first. I've already earned £2,389.68!

I'd much rather be bursting my baws figuring out how to get to Burnley though. Great draw.
