Norrie was talking quite positively about Murray's hitting and his movement during their practice sets.
There is obviously a big difference between hitting with Norrie and being in a match with Kyrgios but at least there was some positivity.
I don't feel that Murray has rushed his recovery though so hopefully he gets through this test - win or lose - in good shape.

For Murray just being back out on the court again will be a victory in itself. Anything else will be a bonus for him at this stage in his recovery.
It will be good to have him back although I hope the media is realistic in their expectations ahead of Wimbledon.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he pulls out at the last minute.

I suppose he has to come back some time and grass is his surface.
But I'm very protective of the guy.
As if he needs it!

Yep.. can't see anything but a Kyrgios win but Murray might at least get an idea of where he is, particularly in terms of fitness, and his chances of getting back proper this season.
Interesting to see how it goes. I think if he can compete and complete the match, he's probably in a relatively decent place.. even if that means a defeat.

Kyrgios just comes across as a total bellend.
PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years

Tremendous talent when he is switched on. That just doesn't seem to be very often.

Andy should play Wimbledon, I reckon. Even if he loses to some qualifier from Uzbekistan at least he's shown he's up for it.
It's not good when top players pick and choose. It denigrates the tournament.

I'm disappointed Andy is out.
I now switch my allegiance to Kyrgios.
Always a few fireworks when he's about.

Andy's going to commentate for the rest of the week. Not sure this is a good idea. Not yet anyway.

Murray wins on his hard court comeback in Washington against American Mckenzie MacDonald (what a name ) . He has Kyle Edmund next round . The real British number 1 should win if he's fit enough

Go on Andy. Shows he’s still no1 despite what the ranking might say. Legend.

If I had the money I'd follow Andy to the ends of the earth.
Tennis tournaments tend to be in quite interesting places so it'd be great to do that.

Murray has announced that he'll be retiring this year, no mention of when though.
He'll always be one of the greatest sportsmen to come from these shores.
A shame that injuries have caught up with him, and a shame that he didn't win more Slams, but when you're up against 3 of the greatest players of all time in your sport, it's never going to be easy.
I wish him all the very best

It's the end of an era. There certainly isn't another Brit around to match Andy. Edmund is good but not top drawer material I reckon.
I am really going to miss him.
