A wee birdie told me tonight that the game is being made all ticket.
All tickets will be £5.00
Hibs will receive 1500 tickets and the Rose will sell 700 tickets (not all to Rose fans BTW)
There is no segregation needed in the ground.
Consideration is being made to move kick off back till 4:00pm as there is an Orange walk I Linlithgow at approx. 4:30pm
Any more updates and I will advise
Brian

1500 Hibbies in Linlithgow on the same day as an orange walk, and a ground with no segregation.
What could possibly go wrong?

Brian I got laughed at on the original thread for suggesting this game would be all ticket. A 4pm Kick off, this could get messy.
Also theres only 15 days until the game, if they want tickets sold they better get their finger out for postage and things, I do think this has a potential to come close to a sell out especially since its going to be mostly first team players and our first game since last season. If we have a few more signings before then I expect a fair few Hibees travelling through.Last edited by Hermit Crab; 15-06-2018 at 01:51 AM.

I can't believe we're playing in Linlithgow on the same day as an orange walk is taking place. On the safe assumption that a good proportion of our support would be planning to get through early and hit the town's pubs, it just looks like a recipe for disaster. The polis are going to have their work cut out...

The reason for the possible later KO is to allow the march to take place and its participants to leave before the Hibs match finishes. The march in Linlithgow is usually about 100 max and half of them (the band) get bussed in.
Just to reiterate this is just what I have been advised. Best keeping an eye on the official Hibs site.

If there's an orange march on it will definitely be all ticket as the police will want to know in advance exactly how many Hibs fans are travelling through.

Can we segregate those living in the 21st century from those in the 17th?

Hibernian will face Linlithgow Rose, Berwick Rangers and Blackburn Rovers this pre-season.
The first match for Neil Lennon’s side will be against Junior outfit Linlithgow Rose at Prestonfield on Saturday 30 June at 3pm. The SJFA East Superleague team finished second in their division last season and have won the Junior Cup four times.
Entry to the game will be £6 for adults and £3 for concessions, with full matchday arrangements to be announced in due course.

There was a small town in Germany a few years back where some Neo-Nazis (about 50 of them) had planned a march. The people of the town were disgusted but, instead of having a counter demonstration, they dealt with it in a fantastic way.
The mayor gave a public speech welcoming them to the town, making a point of how inclusive the town was and how welcoming it was to strangers. Then over 1,000 of the villagers joined the march, with banners celebrating everything the Neo-Nazis were against like racial equality, welcoming refugees and the like. It was the perfect response.
I would absolutely love 1,000 Hibbies to do likewise and join in the Orange walk, all dressed in green and singing Hibs songs.Last edited by Keith_M; 15-06-2018 at 08:23 PM.

You would not believe the lengths they go to to decorate their houses and streets.
It is not unusual for the Queens house/street to cost a five figure sum!!!
Well worth a drive round on the 29th June
