    Soccer Aid

Anyone else that desperate for their football fix that they’re quite looking forward to this too?

English nonentities v ones from the rest of the world. Ach I shouldn’t be too harsh as it’s for charity and you get to see some football legends.

Judging by the England thread, take it we’ll all be showing Bulldog spirit and willing our fellow Brits onto success? 😁

I won't be watching it. I'm of the same opinion as Roy Keane on the whole thing.

The same Roy Keane who appeared in this fixture a few years ago?

Don't believe everything you read on the internet

  5. #5
Surely no one thinks that Roy Keane quote doing the rounds is real?

I've got it on without really paying attention. Edwin Van Der Sar was one of my heroes so I'll enjoy watching him, he still looks in good enough shape to be playing.

Nowt wrong with it, celebs and ex players giving their time for a good cause, not to be taken too seriously.

Real or not, the Keane 'quote' sums it up perfectly for me.

Depends on what percentage actually reaches charity I guess....

Or should I mean 'reaches the people that really need it'

I never miss it, worthy cause and decent entertainment. At least Ben Sheppard can't clatter anyone this year and be sent off again 😂

Funniest moment was when Boris played a few years ago. Can't remember who he took out but should have been a red card. There is one guy who seems to play everytime and takes it too seriously.

Found the Boris Johnson vid. It was actually a Legends game. England v Germany

Football withdrawal symptoms & the fact it’s the only game my Mrs & Daughter sit down happily to watch make it a no brainier. I’ve been made to watch love island all week ffs. Roll on the world cup😎

It’s for a good cause regardless if you don’t like half of the folk that are playing.

That Martin Compston has looked quite neat and tidy so far.

He's actually looked better than Yaya Toure. That's not something I ever thought I'd say.

Imagine diving in a charity match lmao

Is it just me or is Robbie Keane taking it a bit seriously? 2 or 3 times he's been throwing his arms up in the air or screaming at other players. It's a kick about.
