    Anniversary of D-Day

As a keen scholar of everything World War Two I was mightily impressed with these photographs!

    That's impressive work.

Have you seen the documentary Jeremy Clarkson did on the greatest raid of all JB? About destroying the dry dock in Saint Nazair to stop Turpitz from being able to be repaired on the the Atlantic seaboard.

Clarkson might be a ****er but he does a brilliant job with it.

    Absolutely fabulous photos.

Would highly recommend doing a tour of the beaches and inland Normandy. Done it myself and I'm not one for getting misty eyed about the "atmosphere" of places, but there, you really feel it.

I was just coming to post the exact same thing lh. Agree with everything you've said. It was when I was a school lad I did the tour but always said I will go back and do it again... it properly got to me.

History aside, it's also a lovely place to visit.
