Great 1-0 win for Scotland against France

The only negative is that France played all the football and Scotland were well organised and fighting a rearguard action.
    Familiar?

Keeping a clean sheet against France at any level is never easy so I’m guessing Porteous must have played well?

Anyone watch it and able to confirm?

    That’s not a negative?

We will have been playing a team technically better and with far more resources, that’s how you win these games. If Scotland tried to make it an open attacking game they’d have got beat.

Didn’t get to see it, but a fantastic result
Need to beat South Korea on Saturday. Could even go through as best 2nd placed team, even if Togo were to beat France

It was a bit back to the wall stuff second half with the keeper making one great save but defence was very solid. French team were big and good on the ball. Not sure how fraser Murry is not playing, Everytime I have seen him he has been good and I think worth a shout at this level.

It's a negative in that history continues to repeat in that we are technically inferior even in age group games and can only win by being well organised combined with blood and snotters defending. Basically what the full team tried to do in the early hours of this morning.

They were very big strong guys right enough.
Made Billy Gilmour look like a child.

Porteous and Kerr were a good Centre Half partnership and didn't wilt despite constant second half pressure.

Kanga was a big lad but well policed. The two French centerbacks were even bigger. Better today than against Togo and a good goal from Burke.

But it’s not blood and snotters is it.It’s being technically good at defending.Gemmill knows what he’s doing.

I agree, but what it shows is that every Scotland team will for most games be defending. Set up to be hard to beat and hoping to score on the break or from a set play.

Fraser Murray was carrying an injury for the last few months so after the last development machine his season was over. Should be back ok for next season.
