You think we could knock out an established EPL side with a player budget 10 times ours?? . We'd be lucky to get a draw at ER imo. Thats not me being negative, just realistic.
    Like Celtic?

Won't Lech Poznan be unseeded as well? I thought their coefficient was only slightly above ours.
Theirs is 7.000, enough to see them seeded in the Second Qualifying Round, the cutoff point being 4.350 or above.

The majority of posters on Hibs.net who would like to know who our potential opponents are and where we, as supporters, may be headed for an away trip

Quite fancy one of the Armenian or Moldovan sides for a real old fashioned adventure! Not that many of my mates are able to make it though - pre-existing holiday plans getting in the way for a good few. Colleagues' holiday plans might make an away trip for the second leg difficulty for me too.

Well yes, if you are being realistic. But who the hell cares about realism, this is football

Even if it is a 100/1 one shot I would love to see Hibs just get the chance to knock an EPL team out ... imagine the meltdown south of the border if a club from the council house that is Scottish football got past one from the stately home of the EPL ... There would be questions in the house and letters to the Times .... the other thing is I reckon we would take a huge support down, even if we got pumped in the first leg.

Europe is our oyster. Just be patient. You might get a pleasant surprise or a nasty wee shock. The most important thing is to avoid another Maribor or Malmo when we were out of Europe before our preseason had even started. The away defeat to Brondby was over the two games very unlucky. It may well be Azerbaijan the most important thing is getting through to the next round and then into the sections in the Europa League proper where the real money is.Think I have had too much Sangria.

Wouldn't rule it out. Couple of years ago West Ham won on penalties against a Maltese team and then lost to a team from Romania.

We were in Moldova with Scotland when Bertie was the man in charge. Interesting trip.
We walked into a bar and a fellow Scot was sitting with his leg up on a stool. I asked him if he had sprained it but it transpired he had been shot in the back of the leg with an air rifle as he walked down the poorly lit streets. The owner of the bar had poured iodine into the hole in his leg. There was no exit wound so I was a bit concerned. The owner asked me not to phone the police or ambulance as the police would blame him. After a rather tense stand off he decided to call an ambulance and the Scot was taken off to a hospital sharpish after the ambulance crew saw his leg. I went with him to the hospital as he was a young lad and a bit frightened. I stayed outside the operating room
as they took out the pellet fragments It was rather a run down hospital and open windows with a busy road right outside. I saw no harm having a smoke at the window when the door burst open and the surgeon came out with blood covered gloves and apron. "Are you smoking " he said. "Sorry yes I am I replied. " Can I have one please " he said.

Just had a look at one of the Burnley forums .... some of them seem surprisingly cagey about their prospects if they were to draw the Huns or the Sheep in their first qualifying match, mostly because of the hostile reception their team would get at Ibrox or Pittodrie ( shows what they know about Pittodrie lol ) ... they aren't happy about the possibility of a visit from the The Rangers and who can blame them

No mention of us because as yet we aren't a potential opponent ..... a lot of them do seem keen on a wee trip to Scotland though, if any of them are looking in you cant get better than Edinburgh for an away trip. I will leave it to others to give them an idea of what the crowd at Easter Road can be like

That would be really Tom Kite if we drew them and couldn't actually go to the game!

Lech Poznan? I think it would be worse if we actually could go to the game.

Surprised that nobody had picked up on the first leg date and the chance we may draw Linfield.
