Like others, I’ve lived in Sydney for nearly 44 years and continued to follow Hibs.
Can’t imagine that changing if I suddenly moved to Madrid, which is much closer to Easter Road than I am now.

Atletico. Went to a game in their recent title winning season at the old stadium, great fun.

Well, I lived in Munich for six years, ignored Bayern and still supported Hibs so...
it would still be Hibs.

It would've been fun following Leganes the last couple of seasons, but Rayo or Atleti for me. Never Ever R.Madrid (but I do love their ground)

I went with my brother and dad to Madrid a few years ago. As good as the Bernabeu was- we went to Rayo Vallecano the next night and it was brilliant. Proper football fans and €1 beers so it’d be Rayo Vallecano for me

Decent atmosphere too for a sleepy Sunday afternoon game. A lot our clubs could learn about the fan experience outside the ground before matches.

If I was living in Madrid and Real were the only team in existence there I think I'd start following Spanish snooker or something instead. My level of loathe for them is pretty intense.

Rayo Vallecano for me. A smaller local team, more in line with my left-wing thinking.

Quite an interesting article on them above. Worth a read if you are bored.

Anyone picking Atletico over Real because of Real's links to Franco clearly knows nowt about the history of Atletico, their Ultras or their political leaning.
