Chris Sutton on radio five live

Good to hear him bigging up Scottish football.
He was on their Monday night club (?) Tonight. They spent ages talking about arsenal, but then commented on the last day of the Scottish league, especially the 5-5 match. Obviously a cue to go on about Gerrard and rangers. But Sutton did say it wouldn't be easy and it's a good league with Lennon and Clarke (strangely not McInnes and amazingly no mention of levein).

A few comments about how players would come because of Gerrard, but he just kept saying that they have to be paid!

Sutton did spoil it a bit when asked about any decent players at Ibrox and he had a bit of a think before saying taverner, Fotheringhay and Morelos!

I heard it. He was spot on with his assessment that it won’t be a walk in the park for the new hun boss.

Right about Tavernier. Had an outstanding game on Sun and would have been MOTM, had it not been for McLaren.

    Smile

Barker went past him like he wasn’t there.

tavernier was good for rangers when they were coming up through the lower leagues, been found out in the SPL. Decent going forward, cant defend to save his life.

To be fair, Barker goes past anybody like they weren't there.

FWIW, Taverner had a very good game. His timely goal saved the The's from a drubbing.

To be fair he looked out on his feet in the last five minutes. He covered a lot of ground in that game and it seemed to catch up with him at the end.

He is a good player, but sometimes he gets terrified.

Chris Sutton is one of very few that talks up the Scottish game.

I can’t remember the last time Scottish football has been this exciting, a lot of quality in it right now.

Goals 2 and 3 came from crosses from where he should have been defending-didn't see him.So in fact three assists .
