Survey was from last year so I'd presume it was based on the 2016-17 salary figures.
Those salaries would have been in some part based on the 2015-16 attendances (average 9,200) plus skewed by playing in the Championship.

The salaries for the 2017-18 season you would presume would be potentially larger - playing in the SPL plus based on the 2016-17 attendances (average 15,600). I understand they're not going to double based on attendances but there were certainly decent financial reasons - particularly combined with ST sales - to up the salaries from the survey period a little no?

I do completely agree that it's highly likely very few will be on more than 100k annual basic but I also reckon that our top players - particularly any who came in or signed an extension this season - will likely be in that 3 - 4k bracket.
As I said in previous post. I don’t believe any of our current players are on 4K per week Very Few will be on 3k.

I would be surprised if big Efe was under 4k and Stokes at the time.

    Stokes was well
    Publicised outside of our normal
    Wage structure. So yes believe
You are right - might be right in Efe

It would be quicker to just say that, like the rest of us, you don’t know.

Spot on, very few folk are privy to the actual amount a player earns yet folk always seem to think they know. A figure is speculated then repeated a few times before it becomes fact.

I'll start by saying Scouse Hibee earns £150k per week, let's get that rolling, by the end of the month it might actually be correct.😁

I’ve never claimed in any post to know what anyone was one. Just that I didn’t believe people were on as much as the poster was saying. The general salary levels at Hibs have been relatively well understood in recent years - even if individual salaries aren’t ...

Hadn’t considered what Efe may be on until it was raised. It was publicly stated by Lennon and others that Stokes was on a different level
of deal..so thought those were two decent points

Anyway. Since when do people only post what they know on here - that would be pretty boring ....

Works out on average 1.5k a week. But I don't know if counts development players who will be on lower wages, so brings the average down.

    What's the source for this?

If true it's interesting to note that our wage budget is closer to Hamilton's than Aberdeen's.

According to STV sport news, posted online by their reporter Daryn MacRae, Neil Lennon says there is now a 'Small chink of light' that Dylan may yet sign a new contract with us.

Just read the same thing. Also sounded quite positive on Kamberi, although if Sheffield Utd do have a serious interest could price us out the market.
Lennon mentioned a positive meeting with the board and a few players have been identified to freshen things up. All in all a very positive article.

He said the same before we finally signed Stokes as well. Sounds like we’ve gone all out to keep him.

Also being reported on BBC & EEN websites, so there’s some substance to it by the look of it.

Would be marvellous to keep him.

BBC picked up on this now:

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44226624

It would be a massive boost to keep him and would make McGinn's departure less of a blow (that's assuming McGinn does leave. If not it would be essential, I think, to persuade him to sign a new contract as we don't want to risk losing out on the money his transfer could bring to the club).

There's been a lot made of how Hibs are set to be significantly weakened over the summer, but if it's possible to keep Dylan plus sign Kamberi and Allan on permanent deals we would still have the core of an excellent squad - and one that could hopefully be strengthened further with two or three clever signings.

Some of those averages at the lower end are crazy. The majority of tradesman can earn similar figures in a week as is the now.
