Rangers are trying to offload Greg Docherty. We should be all over that.

Good player, but I don't think us and Rangers will be doing any deals for a while.

After we assaulted all their players, fans, employees and grandmothers and having the audacity to beat them in the cup final can you really blame them?

Just send the young team round, knock the front door, tell them to sign the release papers, and take him then.

Wouldn't mind seeing us try and bring Moult in. I know Lennon was interested before.

Couldn't afford him, guys on the radio were saying he's on a 5 figure wage.

I doubt it, he was player of the season for Liverpool.

We do not need center backs. ''If Hanlon and McGregor are out''????

What if they aren't out and these new center backs have to sit on the bench all season? Efe, Hanlon, Daz and Porteous is more than enough. Whittaker is not going to be playing center back in games that matter.
We don't need another centre back we need to figure out a formation that works for us with 4 and the back that still allows us to get forward the way 3 5 2 does.

Transfer wise I'd say we need attacking midfielder (called Scott Allan) and defensive ball carrying midfielder to hold the middle and support Allan and Mallan and another striker, they are the absolute must haves.

Ideally another player for the Barker position but if it comes at the expensive of someone top quality filling one of the above, I'd rather not. Similarly a 4th striker as back up is a should have, but not a must have. I'd definitely be looking at all of the above way before I started considering centre backs unless someone moves on.

Scored loads for Liverpool but shown up a bit at the World Cup, so I'd probably pass on him.

I agree, 3 at the back seems to be the way right now as it allows 2 strikers up top but I'm a fan of 4-3-3 which allows that same freedom of attack.

Reckon Le Fondre deal would have a bearing on if we sign Maclaren or Not?

I'd say probably. They'd both command a fair wage. Whilst I still think if we did get J Mac, it'd have to be a loan for now. I can't see us getting ALF and him in the same window.

Why? Blackpoolhibs and a couple others reply to plenty of my posts with the exact same counter arguement every time yet nobody has an issue with them repeating themselves. The real problem is that there’s posters on here who can’t deal with somebody questioning what’s going on rather than blindly happy clapping their way into a European exit. Having a different opinion to the clique is frowned upon.

Anyway, as I’ve said previously, put me on your ignore list. You can then enjoy Hibs.net in happy clapping bliss.
Your constant negativity is boring. There's no need to to post about how you feel we are not ready 20 times a day.

I don't think anyone is denying the fact we need more players in, you'd have to be blind not to see that. However what I and many others are confident in is the ability of this board and this management team to get the targets they're after. Signing players for the sake of it - Hearts this year, Rangers last year, us January 2012 - has been proven time and time again to get you nowhere.

My faith in the management to get the targets in the door is not changed by either last nights result or the news of targets not coming in.

Might need a centre back if Efe goes

Again, I’ll point out that the issue doesn’t seem to be so much the frequency of my posts, it’s that you and others don’t seem to like that they’re “negative”. BH (and some other posters I may add) reply to my posts frequently with the same counter points ‘20 times a day’ yet don’t get the grief I do. Presumably because yourself and the others who find me boring agree with it so are happy to read it ‘20 times a day’.

People are allowed a different opinion, even if it’s negative.

I like 4-3-3 aswell but we’d need another out and out winger for it on the left. I also think Flo works better with a partner.

Has there been any suggestion that he might be off? If any of our CBs were to leave we’d definitely need a replacement.

Sun just Tweeted an article quoting Turkish media who claim Trabzonspor are weighing up a £270,000 move for him
