When I was a wee laddie I used to think the Desmond Dekker song was called Me ears are alight! :-)
That song is full of misheard lyrics.

In Peter Gabriel's 'Sledgehammer', the line "I've been feeding the rhythm" sounds a lot like "I've been peeing in the river".

The Peter Kay clip of misheard lyrics is brilliant.

I had to check up on another one and just realised it's "just like my love everlasting" and not "just like my love on the back seat" in When the Beat Goes On by The Whispers.

Van Morrison - Brown Eyed Girl.

"Going down on the old man...transistor radio"
"Play for the name on the front of the jersey and the supporters will remember the name on the back"

My girls used to sing when they were much younger

    “Love me for a raisin”

More mistiming than mishearing lyrics but the amount of folk who still give it a big "da da da" after the first chorus of 500 miles..

Some folk won't be too familiar with the song but:

The Rolling Stones - Tumbling Dice... I originally heard Jagger singing "Call me the Chocolate Man"... until I looked at the title of the song of course.

Incidentally it's an absolute belter of a song, whichever lyrics you use!

There was a song about 20 years ago now that went "what the hell am I doing drinking in LA?"

My schoolmate at the time thought "What the hell am I doing drinking lemonade?" which to be fair is a question I've asked myself more than the actual lyrics

Listening to "Somewhere In My Heart" by Aztec Camera on the radio this morning and I always thought the air was "chill".

I can't really explain it as "still" makes a lot more sense.

I always thought the hymn we sang at school wasn’t ‘Who built the ark? Noah! Noah!” But “Who built the ark? No one! No one!”

My mum thought I was taking the piss by singing it at the top of my voice in church.

My wife thought the lyrics to Barbara Ann*from the Beach Boys were
Bop bop bop, bop bop around
    😂😂😂😂

I had my son convinced for ages that in the remix Titanium by David Guetta I think, the lyrics were actually "I am Hibernian" when she sang "I am titanium" . It was played a lot at ER and the PA system certainly helped.

I always thought the tune to Batman was " nananananananananana Batman!" instead of "nananananananananananana Batman!"

    What an idiot!

I sing "Go Hibbys Go" in Timberlake's "Sexyback" but I've no idea what he's actually singing.

I always picture Whitney Houston seeking advice on harvesting honey when she sings, “I’m asking you cos you know about bee stings.”
