Cracking wee player. He's the same age now as Paul Hartley was when he signed for Hearts - think Crawford plays the same position as PH and has similar abilities/attributes.

Very encouraging continuation of our recruitment if true. Every confidence that Lennon can improve anyone we sign too.

Always quite liked him but not see a hell of a lot of him, didn’t realise he was almost 27 aswell, thought he was younger.

He looks a very good player from what I seen of him last season. Not played that much this year due to injury.

Would rather we chucked an extra grand a week at mcgeouchs offer
I doubt it's as easy as that or it would already have been done

And if the amount we are offering Dylan plus the amount we are offering Crawford still wasn't enough for Mcgeouch to sign on?

Can't say I've seen too much of Crawford, but he's always been well talked of.

Also the BBC have taken the news from the Daily Record, so it's a record source.

    From Sickbag:

"Ali Crawford is a snivelling, mutant looking little diving diva, who thinks that anyone who comes within a 5ft radius of him is committing a foul, whilst at the same time being a nasty piece of s*** when it comes to tackling, deliberately going in to injure opponents."

    Yet they don't want him?!?

Sounds like Craig Levein should be interested in him then?

Not surprised after what Lennon was saying on BT a couple of weeks back. Good player but seems injury prone.
Number of appearances in every season since he was 20:

    2011-12 - 24
    2012-13 - 39
    2013-14 - 45
    2014-15 - 43
    2015-16 - 35
    2016-17 - 42

So he can't be that injury prone. Made 19 so far this year despite his injury.

He hates Hearts, that’ll do for me😄

Wondet if Scott allens price tag is too high. Swanson and Crawford fighting for a position wouldnt be a bad situation.

  12. #41
The standard of player we should be going for and is the right age.
Has struggled with injury this season but getting over it now.
The knee jerk kick backers appraisal of him above is drivel.
If he was bigger and stronger he would have been away from Hamilton a long time ago.
This is another upside of our new status i.e. good players will need little persuasion to come to Easter Road as long as the money is right.

Going by what Rodgers was saying previously I don’t think he’d make it difficult for Allan to join Hibs again. I’d say if Crawford signs that would be the end of Swanson.

The interview I heard he was open to him leaving. Definitely added in if hibs could afford him after though. Crawford and Allan would just as good, if not better though.

If we are looking to move onto the next level, we'll need three players of the quality of Allan, Swanson and Crawford anyway.

Just to add to this, goals and assists in the same period -

    11/12 - 26 games - 3 goals - 2 assists
    12/13 - 40-5-15
    13/14 - 45-2-11
    14/15 - 43-11-11
    15/16 - 35-5-13
    16/17 - 42-10-8
    17/18 - 19-3-3

Very good stats for a player in a team normally in the bottom 6.

Sure he doesn't like hearts due to them releasing him when he was younger.

Could be Dylan's replacement, the longer we hear nothing regarding his new deal, the more it looks like he may be away, good to see Lennon moving quickly for the better quality players.

Reminds me of the kind of stats folk used to pull up with Liam Craig.

    Ali Crawford

Two footed and can take free kicks.
He’s no Jake Mulraney but could be a good signing none the less.
