The match update thread over on Kickback follows a familiar pattern.
No updates from 1-1 onwards

Some very promising players for us. Looking forward to seeing some of them getting a chance in the senior team shortly.

It wouldn’t be the same if we won a cup final at Hampden without breaking something.
In 2016 we broke a cross bar & The Rangers mental stability. This time we broke the trophy.

On what would’ve been my late Grandad’s 80th birthday, and as someone who long supported the Hibs youth development all the way back to ‘club 86’ (as I believe it was called?) It’s somewhat fitting for me that the young laddies won the youth cup.
GGTTH.

Ryan Porteous has all the qualities to become a very very good centre half.

I can see him captaining Hibs, and grabbing a Scottish Cup winner again funnily enough...

By far the better team. Ran out comfortable in the end. How many of that group can play 20s again next season?

Well done boys. Nip round to Tiny tomorrow and show Craig Levein what medals look like.

I'm hearing a rumour that every single trophy on the Hampden pitch has been assaulted.
Is this correct?
Well done to the young lads.
It's funny actually - the flight I've just stepped off was from Edinburgh to Cardiff Airport. The last time I was at Cardiff Airport it was 7am on 21st May 2016 and I was coming back for THE cup final. Must be something about me being here and Hibs winning cup finals at Hampden on the same day. I've only ever been here twice.

Wonder if any papers will headline their articles tomorrow with - 'Hibs U-20's win cup but then break it - beggars belief' ??
Btw - Ryan Porteous - what a Rolls-Royce of a player !. Big, solid, powerful and uses the ball intelligently - with his chest sticking out there's a touch of the 'Roy Of The Rovers' about him !Last edited by Deansy; 26-04-2018 at 09:26 PM.

Do you think your security can keep you in purity, you will not shake us off above or below. Scottish friction, Scottish fiction

Yes! Great win and the DOUBLE !
Fantastic achievement by the young team.
Fraser Murray and Ryan Porteous are destined for bigger things..
Porteous is Paul Hanlon part 2
Shaw will score goals
Murray will pull the strings in midfield.
Great time to be a Hibs fan and considering not much talk about our young players - well done to all of them and the coaching staff
