9th but had only played two games in the league, losing 3-1 at home to QOTS and then beating Hearts 3-1 at ER. East Fife were top with 5 points from 3 games. Rangers were 10th and Hearts 11th.
In our league cup section that season we qualified from a group containing Celtic, St Mirren and Partick. We beat Morton over two legs in the quarter final, 6-0 at home and 6-3 away but lost in the semi, 2-1 to Dundee. This is how it feels

Spookily enough all the top 5 were in the same position as the present table. The only exception to the present top 6 being the natural order who were in at a lofty 11th position and replaced in 6th by the mighty Clyde.

Third behind Rangers and Aberdeen.
Hibs later climbed to second place behind the authentic Rangers.
