You know, surprising as it is I've not seen or heard any pundits calling out The Dons as "bottle merchants" etc when it comes to high pressure games and their inability to deal with them, a bit like when same pundits couldn't wait to stick it to Hibs at every and any opportunity?! It really is fascinating the way it's all quickly glossed over with Aberdeen. In fact, change fascinating to nauseating and we're on the right track.

Its probably because half the media (in particular the BBC)have several Aberdeen supporters working for them.

It's true. If they managed to take the occasional point from Celtc and didn't completely **** themselves every time they play The Rangers they'd be close to winning the title. Both cups they didn't land a blow on Motherwell. Yet it's all ignored or glossed over.

Would rather not resort to sad Yam/mainstream media tactics. The Hibsed it tag did apply but really only in the Stubbs penultimate season. In his final one our big reverses against Ross County and Falkirk were purely due to bad luck which, of course, came to an end on a certain Saturday in May.
While A’deen fans will be the first to say they’ve come up short where it mattered, at least they’ve been where it mattered regularly.

What about being 2-1 ahead with only 10 minutes to go in a Cup Final and still managing to lose?
Surely that's deserving of some natty media phrase.
Huns'd it?

Absolutely spot on. I get that pundits support certain clubs and why shouldn't they. What gets under my skin a bit is they, as a group (Sportsound mob) blatantly pick and choose who to slate, call bottle merchants etc, whilst having a right wee chuckle to themselves. Now if they want to do that then be consistent... Get tore in about Aberdeen the same way they did Hibs. I actually find it funny than anything else.

If they did get stuck into Aberdeen it would with the tone of discussing a "worrying trend" rather than laughing their socks off as they did with us. F*** 'em.
