Before attempting to remove stains from a garment circle the manky area with a permanent pen so that when you remove it from the washing machine you can check the stain has gone.

If you get greasy food on your clothes rub washing up liquid into it and soak in hot water for 30 mins before putting in the washing machine.

Take a multi-plug extension cable on holiday with you in your suitcase & you’ll only need 1 travel adaptor.
This is very good. Is it safe to plug a multi plug extension in using an adapter and then plug numerous things into the extension cable?

When draining potatoes or pasta, run the cold water tap into the sink.

    There will be less steam.

I've used this for years, makes life so much easier considering most folk have a phone each, electric tooth brush, kindle, hair dryer/straighteners, MIG welder etc.

As long as you don't go crazy and plug in all the huge wattage appliances at once you'll be good, 4 mobile phone chargers won't draw that much!

My favourite Viz-Top-Tip - if you are choking because you have an ice cube lodged in your throat then simply pour boiling water down your throat to instantly melt the ice cube.

    My two are ...

"Save a fortune on binoculars! Simply stand closer to whatever you are looking at."

"When moving, simply put your goldfish bowl in the freezer a couple of days before so you won't spill any of the water during the move"
