The rain and sleet has been relentless in Edinburgh since about yesterday lunchtime. Our garden is certainly unplayable but I'd hope the Easter Road drainage is a lot better than ours! One thing's for sure, it will be exceptionally soggy underfoot.

Any chance game could be in doubt again due to waterlogged pitch?

Surely this favours us as Hamilton play on an artificial surface so will not be used to a soggy surface...?
Most likely not going to be a free flowing football match tonight.... danger of injuries too.

Given the conditions today I would play with two wingers...as in ducks

Will certainly be a test for the drainage - if the forecast is correct then rain will have fallen constantly for 30 hours in the run up to kick off!

I don't think there has been a game called off at easter road for a waterlogged pitch since the new stand went up

It's absolutely miserable in Fife, sleet and rain for the rest of the day will make the conditions interesting.
Could favour us with wide players and pacey strikers.

I remember a really miserable day many years ago.Willie MacFarlane told me that they didn’t think many would turn up even the front half of the stand was soaked and so they watered the pitch all morning and the ref called the game off.

Ir's not raining in Leith at the moment. Couple of light showers in the morning but not a lot else. Forecast is light rain for much of the day, game will be fine.
