World class players that Hibs players remind you of

Now, I’m obviously not comparing them ability wise, but when you see the way they play, is there any Hibs players that remind you of a world class football player? The kind of thing you’d maybe use to describe a player to someone who’s never seen them play.

I always feel Dylan looks like he probably styles his game on Iniesta. Martin Boyle has a bit of Pedro about him and Scott Allan a bit like Kevin De Bruyne.

    Anyone any others?

Lewis Stevenson strikes me as a young Maradona with that left foot of his and I'm sure Maclaren is channeling Gerd Müller with his predatory instincts.

I used to think that James Keatings style of play the way he ran and the way he took free kicks was similar to Lionel Messi though unfortunately for him and us no where as good!!

Owain Tudur Jones reminded me of Beckenbauer the way he used to stroll through games. The only difference being Franz would kick the ball during the match.

Apparently Paul Pogba was distraught at being dropped from the Utd team at the weekend. Desperate to know why, he approached Mourinho after the game.

“What do I have to do boss?” he asked.
“I have three words for you,” snarled Mourinho. “Super John McGinn. Watch and learn.”

Not quite the same thing but...

...I had the very good fortune to get 2 tickets for the Real v Barca classico at the Bernabeu last April (Real 2 Barca 3, Messi scoring a last minute winner)

With the score 1-1, me and my 9 year old son were sat right behind Rakitic as he arrowed a shot, straight as a die, from 20 yards into the top corner. Goal.

My son turned to me and said "that's just like the goal the Ayr United right back scored against Marciano last month, when we knocked Ayr out the cup"

And do you know what, he was right, both were brilliant strikes!

I get the point of this OP but I think the KDB and Allan comarpsions are a bit off, Allan isn't really box-to-box. I'd say Allan was more like the Samir Nasri that was at Arsenal... style of play only of course, not ability.

John McGinn's outward arse and spin is slightly reminiscent of Latapy's spin.

David Murphy had the best first touch I’ve ever seen at Easter Road. Almost Zidane, Bergkamp or Berbatov-esque.

Dalglish liked to use his arse McGinn-style.

Despite his conversion to "the other side" our version of Andy Goram is one of only a handful of geniunely world class players I have ever seen at ER (Archie God is an another). The fact we only signed AG because Ian Andrews bumped us for Sellick is extra sweet.

Malonga a bit like Berbatov. Lazy but pacy when he gets going and capable of moments of magic.
