John McGinn - if he gets booked again.

SJM is one yellow card away from a 2 match ban. Been that way for a few weeks now. He could just hope to avoid another booking for the rest of the season, but that might end up inhibiting his game.

So, if he gets booked tonight he would miss the two home games against Partick and Hamilton, but if it happens any later, we’d lose him for two post-split games.

What do you think? Should John get really stuck in tonight, maybe near the end of the match, and “try the referee’s patience” ?

Now, now that would be a wee bit John Beaton as the cabbage thread might say...

£50 on him to get booked tonight 😎

Edit. 3/1 with Skybet so my £50 returns £200!

He'll be able to get away with murder as the cheating referees will not want him banned for the easy games

Absolutely! Don't want him to miss what potentially could be his last derby.

Hibs and McGinn would never contemplate underhand tactics like that.

I'd probably be in the "just play your normal game and see" camp in the hope he misses no games.

The very last thing we would want is to lose Mcginn for games like these and end up dropping those piints.
    Mon the Hibs.

Maybe better to have him available to play against Partick and Hamilton as on paper the two easiest games left, 6 points from those 2 games would be a huge lift.

    Can see it both ways.
Personally would rather he was booked tonight. I think we could still take 6 points from these games with a 3 of Dylan, Allan and Bartley.
Would be crap to see him miss out on the last derby (if they hang on to 6th spot that is)

3/1 returns £150. The other £50 is your stake.

Don't mind if he gets booked celebrating the winning goal in the Derby swinging his shirt round his head.

    I'll take that.

Has anyone asked Craig Levein about this? He's the expert on these matters

Aye mibbes he better avoid getting booked for a while, as Dylan could possibly be out for a few games

Down to ten men will make him think twice about risking a booking. Mind you, if we look like getting beaten he could risk a yellow card.

Last thing you want to do in any circumstances is drop pints.

Be good if SJM had a blinding 2nd half. Been a wee bit quiet 1st half.

It’s 14 days before his suspension would kick in. Wouldn’t be those two games he misses

Thankfully I'm not McGinn. Booted up and down. Never mind a 2 game ban. I'd be 3 months in Saughton after tonight

It's embarrassing some of the tackles he has to deal with. But after Cochrane's tackle against him ended up with only a yellow then if your an opposition player why not have a go? It's clear you'll have to decapitate him to get a red card.

If a Celtic or Rangers player was kicked all over the park like John is we'd never hear the end of it.

Spot on. Every time he broke away he was fouled and it's happening every week.
