St. Patrick's Branch Hibernian Achievement Awards.

Past award winners include Hibernian Historian Alan Lugton whose wonderful trilogy, encapsulated why the Hibs are totally unique and the best football team on this planet and Branch Committee member Susan Linn who has raised £'thousands from the Hibernian family to enable less privileged bairns to see the Cabbage.

We are delighted to announce after due consideration that it was decided that the two award winners in 2018 will be Sue McLernon, who has been a Hibernian stalwart for almost 40 years and a regular at half time with the bairns as far back as I can remember. She also set up and delivered the Community Football Programme at various Edinburgh venues and set up and delivered various School programmes including Healthy Eating initiatives (with player appearances) Educational school tours, Kick Start Programmes, 90 Minutes Club programme etc. Delivered numerous Programmes in the community (ie Show Racism the Red Card event and working with Kids in the Street and Lothian Autistic Society ).

The second is Lewis Stevenson, the Hibernian Legend. Lewis as been awarded this because of his unstinting fundraising and generosity in charitable work.

Both Sue and Lewis will attend our famous Branch St. Patrick's Night bash at the Hibs Club on St. Patrick's Day March 17th to receive their awards.

Absolutely thrilled for Sue, as an ex Hibs kid I remember her from years back and is a regular “well kent face” that just quietly gets on with promoting and helping Hibernian.

Well deserved recognition for both of them.

Cracking choices G. Getting wee Lewis in there for something in addition to his football contributions is great. He'll be woven into the fabric of our club forever which is no more than he deserves.

Two Hibernian legends who deserve this kind of recognition from the fans.

They both have Hibs at heart and work hard to help those less fortunate.

A great example of just what it means to be a Hibby.
