Never one to laugh at others misfortune but today could only have been improved by rangers getting horsed and God pissing down a meteor shower of fifty pound notes on Edinburgh

    There's more than 4.

    Smith - 15
    Reilly - 10
    Duncan and Turnbull - 8
    Ormond and Riordan - 7

Apparently Jim Scott also has 7

    Dear Jimmy
7 is not more than 7 therefore it is 4 players.

Arthur Duncan is the strange one.
Attended lots of Derbies as a young kid at the start of the 70's and my abiding memory is a lack of goals from either side until that famous 73' game.

I don't find Arthur that surprising. He was a goalscoring winger in his younger days, with us a long time, and only converted to full back in the latter part of his career. Even when he formally moved back he kept getting offside.

If memory serves me correctly there was a tornadoes season where Arthur was one of a few players who got more than 20 that season?

Yes Arthur scored over 100 goals with Hibs including a couple of hat tricks and 4 against Falkirk.

If my memory is correct the 4 was the same day that his previous club Partick Thistle scored 4 against Celtic in the League Cup final.

Was it really? There was certainly a gasp of amazement when th half time score was announced with Thistle 4 up.The thing I remember about Arthur’s 4 is that the fifth was scored by Bertie Auld who was limping up and down the wing wanting to come off when the ball was cleared to him and he set off on a gallop from the halfway line, scored and then resumed his campaign for an early exit.

It was definitely the same day, 23 October 1971. I remember everyone thought the guy who put the half time scores up was either at the wind up, as happened once before, or got them the wrong way round.
