    Smile 39 years ago today...

...I attended my first Hibs game, against Hearts at ER.

40 Fans arrested (mostly Hearts) and a home win for Hibs. A bruising Hearts team attempt to kick a superior Hibs side off the park. The similarities to yesterday are quite spooky

Edit: I updated the title, cos I obviously can't count ;-)

That must be a rare photo - Tony Higgins running. I was at that game too, one of my earliest derbies. Used to love watching the Police helmets getting thrown in the air in the Dunbar end as they fought among themselves. Football has changed on the terraces but their style of play is just the same.

I remember that game but not for the football. One of the guys I used to hang around with from Calder was a bit of a fezz and a Jambo. The rest of the gang were Hibbies and we could see him in their end where everybody near him had formed a circle around him keeping at least 2m distance between them and him. Imagine being that smelly that even Hearts fans keep their distance.

Hibs again beating them by playing football.
That was the game I met a man who saw us win the cup.
