Could the game be rescheduled for Tuesday?

I know Hamilton have a game on Saturday, but is there any reason we won't be asked to play next week?

I hope not, but we've already been required to play 5 games in 13 days so it wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility for the SPFL to order this.

I don’t see why not. I don’t want it to be, but it gives you more time to recover than you’d get playing Wednesday night and then Saturday afternoon and nobody would bat an eyelid at that.

I doubt the SPFL would be stupid enough to ask us to play 2 midweek games in the same week. Would they?

It's the same as Wednesday & Saturday.

    How is it stupid?

I hope not, any advantage over them is a plus.

Is it not up to the 2 clubs to agree a suitable date for the rearranged fixture?? If that's the case we should deffo not agree to next Tuesday

If we have any say what so ever I don’t think it’ll be next Tuesday on the other hand if it’s down to the SPFL then I’d be worried

    That's what I jokingly meant.

    Fingers crossed it's the former.

Well it won’t be the following week, as Hamilton already have a rearranged game on 13th. And with Scotland friendly on the 23rd, it’s not likely to be arranged for the midweek before that either. So looking like the end of March then - hopefully before the school holidays in early April, when many will already have made plans to be away.

I’d have a shot at either Tuesday 3rd April or Wednesday 4th April

    How about Sunday, 25th March?

    We have a free weekend.

There's a good chance the snow won't have gone by Tuesday.

On the bright side, should Hearts tie at Motherwell be postponed on Sunday,
the rescheduled date is Tuesday 6th March, this appears to be a fixed date.

Three days before the derby, Potter will be spewing.

I know, but I see no reason why Hibs shouldn't be allowed to play. Scotland don't have a competitive game for ages

It’s highly likely that a few of our players will be away on international duty, especially with Scotland as it’s time for MacLeish to try new faces so we could see McGinn, McGeouch and Hanlon away potentially.

Scotland play Costa Rica on Friday 23rd March. It's possible that Paul Hanlon will be called up for this squad and John McGinn being almost a certainty. Israel also have a match the following day against Romania and it's entirely possible that Ofir Marciano will be called for that and Nigeria are also playing a match against Poland and Efe Ambrose could possibly be called up for that too.

I don't fancy playing a league match with those players being unavailable.

Also play away on 27th March in Hungary
Think also under 19’s are away on European championship duty as well, which would mean on Porteous etc

Not sure why next Tuesday is being poo pooed? Seems like a good option to me. Not sure Hamilton would agree, but don't see the problem from Hibs point of view.

Don’t think it’s anything to do with Hibs/Hamilton, the SPFL set the dates

It's not impossible that it could be played post split if required. It's happened at least once before. If it won't have any impact on the make up of the top and bottom 6, which is unlikely, then it wouldn't shock me to see that happen.

I'd prefer we didn't play 3 days before the hearts game.
