Would there be so much interest on here if they weren't hibbys? They are not my cup of tea just interested to know if folk actually like their music or just their affiliation to the club?

I’m beginning to think you’re not taking this seriously.

I think that suggesting that the Proclaimers are only successful because of the Hibs factor, does them a disservice. Yes, I’m a Hibby but having seen them twice, their musical ability and the quality of their live show and band, far outweighs any Hibs connection.

They're not very good singers but they are very good songwriters, which is what I care about far more. SoL wouldn't be the same sung by anyone else.
Do you think your security can keep you in purity, you will not shake us off above or below. Scottish friction, Scottish fiction

Used to sit a couple of seats away from one of them (Craig?) in the old North Stand and we usually had a quick chat about football before the game.Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

I've been to gigs of theirs at Edinburgh Corn Exchange, Stirling Albert Hall, Edinburgh Playhouse (several times) and Edinburgh Castle. They've been great every time.
Going to see them in Motherwell this tour for a wee change. Looking forward to it already.

Each to their own tastes...but I Love the Proclaimers...nothing to do with Hibs - I think their writing is up there with the very best of modern day musicians and poets. I tend to avoid many of their Edinburgh gigs, prefer to see them where the Hibs element isn't as dominant in the crowd..more focus on the music

Glastonbury 2008, I was watching Massive Attack play but surprisingly got a bit bored. So I gave up and on the way back to meet my mates I passed a large tent that was packed and bouncing. I managed to squeez in and The Proclaimers were in full swing. Great gig!

I probably wouldn't pay money just to go and see them but if they were appearing as part of a line up at a festival or something like that, it would be good to go and join in with their well known songs as they do have quite a few.
