    Tonight's Games

Basel v Man City and Juventus v Spurs in the CL, a couple of games in the English championship and quite a few in leagues 1 and 2.

While the champions league isn't everyone's cup of tea and there's no doubt it's twisting the game into a bit of a closed shop at the upper end... it still allows some of the world's best footballers to compete against each other. I'm hoping the game in Turin will be decent.

Fabulous training ground finish for Juve. 1-0 1 min in. Fantastic finish. Gets better every angle I see it.

Simon Murray starting up front for Dundee. Good to see him getting game time.

    2-1, Kane.

Spurs have been great the last 20 or so.

Spurs really have been a joy to watch. I thought they were going to get thumped after the first 10 mins. The Italian natives are restless.

Derek Adams has Plymouth going really well, one loss in thirteen and winning 3 1 tonight. Seems to have taken Plymouth three months to have settled into League 1 and they were bottom for most of that time, now they're only five points off a play-off place.

Juve should have gone for the jugular. Far too conservative at 2-0 up.

I think that’s been their main failing over the last few seasons - it’s like they hit cruise control or something mental which makes them lose control.

They’ve been pretty much outplayed by Napoli and Roma already this season but grind it out. It may cost them over this tie, though.

Have you heard anything what they're saying about missing out on this wonderkid from Genoa, Pellegri isn't it? I thought Juve had him in the bag but he goes to Monaco...

Think it came down to game time. Monaco offered some first team football this year, with there clearly being more opportunity to break into the team there than Juve. Lad seems to have his head screwed on for a 16 year old, he’s rated as a superstar in the making, apparently.
