They have gone from a system that worked (a few idiots permitting) to one empty lane and one huge queue. On top of that you have people driving up the empty lane then wanting in at the last minute or just going straight through the lights anyway and through the hashed off section into the other lane where the traffic is being filtered into. Its a complete mess now. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The need to either put a kerb or bollards in to stop people using the wrong lane or put it back the way it was.

Tailgating.
You see folk doing it on the fast lane of the motorways. Insane.

Noticing more and more that the hard shoulder is becoming the BMW and Audi lane...

Folk that don’t understand that the white lines up the middle of the road give drivers 50% of the road each. Cutting blind corners particularly gets on my mammeries.

More and more idiots now red gambling at lights instead of amber gambling, there's going to be bad accidents shortly if they continue, I've seen some real near misses.

I was driving down towards Duddingston crossroads about half 4 this morning doing 30mph in the bus lane and this taxi shot past me at what must have been 50mph. Unbelievable that folk think because its the early hours they can just fly abut not bothering about the speed limits. All on dash cam as well.

I'm a fairly confident driver, very rarely get into tricky situations and very very rarely get beeped at for an error I've made but see that roundabout when travelling North to South or vice versa I hate it. Always have and always will, so surprised theres not more bad smashes there.

On the Motorway when the traffic is heavy it slows down a lot and sometimes comes to a stop completely i found these two things happen.
1. people switching lanes all the time with next to no benefit and only slowing things down further.
2. as the traffic begins to free up you have the one person still driving at 30 or 40 mph not paying attention to the fact the whole motorway behind them is jammed with people waiting to get passed.

Just a wee peeve :-)
Whatever happened to the brush thingys round the wheel arches of lorries and bigger vans that reduced the amount of spray that flares up when there's surface water?
Anyone driving on motorways and the faster roads today will be rueing their demise :-(Space to let

Always feels like you’re taking a risk moving out onto that roundabout, like you’re rushing out in front of another vehicle rather than joining safely and smoothly

Approaching a T junction when the driver turning off the main cuts the corner meaning you have to hit the breaks. Happens almost every day.

Been said before, you DO NOT have right of way when joining a motorway. Eejit in a camper van giving me grief on the M6 today because I had nowhere to go.

And because they’re pootling along that means anyone else behind them also has to join at the same dangerously slow speed

Might have said this one already - folk who drive slower than the limit, but when you move into the overtaking lane to pass them speed up so that you can't pass them for some ****ing stupid reason.
Happened yesterday after the Queensferry Crossing heading to Edinburgh, guy is sitting at just under 60 (in the middle lane, obviously), I moved out to overtake and he put his foot down as I was passing him, why do that?!Follow the Hibs podcast, Longbangers, on Twitter (@longbangers)

Similarly, when you are trying to overtake someone on a dual carriageway, A90 to Aberdeen particularly, the car you are trying to overtake speeds up so that you have to accelerate more and exceed the legal limit, in order to make the pass but as soon as you have passed them they slow down again.
