    Ronaldinho retires

To be honest I was amazed he hadn't retired years ago! Nice footage here.

Most naturally talented footballer I can remember.

Loved how he always played with a smile on his face. Loved what he did.

I think I probably should have said confirmed his retirement. There were rumours about him making a comeback. Still, great excuse to post this vid...

Wonderful, wonderful player. Took the kicks and kept on smiling. At his peak for Barca, more flamboyantly skillful than anyone playing football these days. And I do mean anyone.

Unfortunately his dream of playing for Hibs never materialized....

When you watch him, even on slomo its hard to work out exactly how he does what he does! especially that right foot off the left foot drag to the side thing. Its just a blur

Just an absolute joy to watch.

I still love watching Brazilian footballers above all other international players.

Now, that was one fantastic football player. I saw him almost beat Real Madrid single handedly a few years back.

Unfortunately, he wasn’t terribly good looking!

The best and most entertaining footballer in my generation, the skill, the smile and the finishing were just god like at times.
    He will be missed.

A truly huge talent. Up there with the very best for me, an absolute joy to watch and always played the game with a smile on his face. He'd have perhaps made the subs bench in our legends team of 2016

But I'm sorry his goal in the world cup against England was the greatest fluke of all time.

The Madrid fans applauding him as he tore them apart in their own home summed his genius up. An absolutely fantastic footballer and his goal against Chelsea is one of my favourites.

He was hugely influential in the 'rebirth' of Barcelona after a few lean years and was one of the catalysts for the outstanding team of the last 10-15 years.

That’s the game I mentioned earlier!

He was outstanding. I think, from memory, that the score was 0-3?

Must be fake news. My Hearts colleague at work assures me he is just signed for them, and we shouldn’t bother turning up on Sunday.

Seen him play a couple of times and the guy was just class, always had a smile on his face when he played, once at Darkheid he was just outstanding and fully deserved the applause from the stands that night as he left the park, my lad got a photo with him after the game and a autograph from him, he was a gent.

One of the greats of football.

Not really any different to 90% of other footballers who chase the money. It puts his brother in a bad light and you can see why he would do what his brother suggests as he seems to be a father figure to him.
