To win 5 grand would be the obvious answer though that kind of bet gets pinged on usually after a wkd of losing your bollocks and attempting to break even at the last chance saloon.

I cannae comprehend a Hibs fan doing that, better in their pocket than the bookies though (I suppose).

Pah! That's nothing. I won £30 last week AND I got to keep my dignity by not betting on Hearts.
Post your far more impressive wins here!!

Well done to the guy, probably a daft account rounder that has come good. I don't really bet on football but wouldn't bother about betting on Hearts to win, it's not as if it has any impact on the result.

I don't really understand Hibs fans moaning about other Hibbys betting on Hearts. I've always viewed it as a win-win. If Hearts get beat, you're happy. If they win you have the consolation of it contributing to making some cash.
Had no call to bet on them this season though, cos they're garbage

Didn't win 5 grand though. Cashed out at £2,600. Nice profit but you would kicking yourself for not lasting until the final whistle.

I assured my Celtic colleague that I was betting on Hearts, only to back out at the last minute as gambling on Hearts felt wrong....fair play on the result, I feel fine not putting the bet on.

Placing money on them to win in a bet, does not equate to supporting them.
Sometimes I have placed a bet on them or even Rangers, it is a means to increase wealth.
I still prefer Hertz to lose, and as a previous poster said, is a win or win situation.

Sorry but I backed them , someone had to beat Celtic sooner or later , and I usually put a couple of quid on the **** when we play them as well it's a bet I'm delighted to lose , and if it comes in the money at least allows me to deaden the pain .

He also has a £20 double still running, Hearts and Partick Thistle both to beat Celtic.
IIRC he has something like £150 going on to Partick @ 14s.
